Quick Disconnect for Stream?

Hi, I have one of my streams located in the front corner of my tank.
With its locaion it is a bit of a hassle to unplug all the wires and carry the stream and box with it to be cleaned.
Is it possible to cut the power cord and make it a quick disconect or is there some "special wiring" in there that would not allow this? Other han the regular posiive-negative-ground setup.
The cord I am referring to is the one going directly into the pump itslf.
Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't recommend it. That cable has 5 very small wires in it and it is quite difficult to connect them all properly to a connector and to find a fairly water resistant connector that won't come uncoupled easily. If you open the driver box you can unplug the pump via a 6 pin molex connector. In general though it should be possible to clean the pump at the tank with just a bucket filled with a 50/50 mix of warm water and white vinegar and a couple brushes and a rag. The cable is 16ft so you have plenty of room to lower the pump into a bucket and clean it.
