Quick Macro ID and Another Macro Question

My question is that I seem to remember reading or hearing somewhere along the way that cheato is not very palatable or has no food quality for my tang (red sea sailfin). This true, should I buy or grow different macro for him?

Second, anyone know what this "shaving brush" looking macro is and what will get rid of it? It looks like a chia pet growing on my rocks. I dont have a ton of it but it is the only macro growing that I have yet to run off. Just got rid of all my cyano and others. Nitrates at zero. Everything good buy I havent tested my phosphates yet.

It looks like it, thats why I called it a shaving brush. But mine has no stalk. The "bristles" so to speak are attached directly to the rock.

Sure looks like Turtle weed (Chlorodesmis fastigiata)to me.
