Quick question on water changes

Do I need to do a water change after cycling even though fish won't be introduced for about a month( will be in quarantine)? Or can I get away with doing the water change before I introduce the fish.

Also as far as water changes go in the coral/invert (fallow) qt tank. How often should water changes be performed?

There is no need to do a water change after the cycle is complete. I would stick to the once a month water change in your coral/invert QT

The only reason you do a water change after cycling is to reduce the high nitrates that are produced during the cycling process.

If your nitrates aren't that high (5 or less) after the cycle is complete then I'd say you're ok forgoing the water change, if they are higher than that then I would still plan on doing a water change before adding fish.

This can be done either right after the cycle finishes or just before you introduce fish.
