Quick question...

So last night my 55gal failed. Luckily I had a 14gal biocube sitting there. (Fowlr) I salvaged the rock put them in buckets with power heads. I rescued the livestock, long nose hawk, 2 clowns and a flame back. With misc crabs and snails. They are temp being held in the cube. Do you think they'll be ok in the cube for two weeks until petco has their next 1 a gal sale. It seems crazy to pay 150 now. Or am I in a spot where I need to just pay the piper and do it for the fishes welfare.

As a relative newbie, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that with regular monitoring and water changes, you should be ok until the sale. Be prepared for up to daily water changes though.

I agree with Science. You could get an ammonia badge so you can check ammonia at a glace They're made by Seachem.

You might consider putting everything in a 30 Gallon Brute trash can, but yes for two weeks you should be okay with the 14 gallon tank.

There always seem to be 55g tanks on Craig's list. You might even find something a little deeper to move up to.:-)
