Has anyone ever purchased corals and brought them back with you on a commercial plane flight?

Is there any problems taking live corals on the plane with me, or do they have to be checked as baggage?

I'm taking a company trip to Detroit and hope to have a chance to visit Tropicorum after my business is complete.

I leave tomorrow at 6:25AM.

Thanks

Jeff

I just brought some back from IMAC and they didn't even look at them. Just bring a small cooler and carry it on with you.

I saw an episode of "airplane" ( i think that's what it's called) and it was a flight from chicago to somewhere in the US...I think. They didn't let some guy take his fish with him. I don't know if they would let you do it with corals.
It all depends on who you deal with.

I was going to say as long as it's not an international flight you should be ok. Definately carry them on, try the cooler and I think once they see that it's a bag of water w/a coral inside they probably won't say much, just be courteous if they give you any crap and ask to speak to a supervisor if they keep denying you.

Tell them the saltwater is for a sore throught and the fuzzy stick is just to stir the saltwater back up before gargaling.
