Hey guys I want to start my tank back up in my new apt. I am in a really time consuming part of school, and would like to purchace water from an LFS. I was wondering what the avg price is for about 40 gal of water to make the cycle time a little shorter.

I don't think that buying water from a fish store will make your cycle time shorter. They use the same salt mix you can buy in stores. The only thing that will make your cycle time shorter will be from using cured rock and live sand.

10 gallon buckets would be really heavy to lift...8.3 pounds per gallon. I would get some of the 5 gallon jugs they sell for water...easier to carry and lift. GL, Marcye

$50 for 40 gal? get yourself a cheap ro system off ebay, and make your own in your kitchen. will save u money in the long run. sounds like you will be mixing the water/salt at home anyways. shouldn't be too time consuming if u just run it at night. will save you a trip too.
