Quick RO/DI question

Does this thing need to be hooked up all the time? I only need to make about 13 gallons every other week for water changes and top offs, so can I just hook it up when I need it and then put it back in the box so to say? Thanks.

As long as you store at room temp and keep the membrane wet then it should be ok.

Don't drain the water from the individual canisters and it will be fine.

And flush for 10-15min before collecting water.

Currently I only use mine on the weekends. When I had my 75g tank, I would only use it every other weekend and never had any issues. You'll be ok by following what has already been said (keep the water in and flush it for a few minutes before actual use).

I use mine on the weekends too.

I always flush the membrane before use and then when I am done I flush it again.

Has worked for many years for me.
