Quick T5 measurement?

In all of my fish crap I don't have any old T5 end caps sitting around and I need a measurement really quick.

I need to know how long a water proof end cap plus the stand off is. I think it is like 2.5" if I remember correctly but am not positive.

Ryan from the edge of the mounting bracket to the end of the ring that holds the light is 2" On my 80W ATI's its 59.5" from the end of the mounting bracket to the other end of the mounting bracket.

Thanks Mark. I'm building a floating canopy and need to know how sleek I can make it. I want just enough material to cover the bulbs if that makes sense.

Clear as mud bud... Just kidding. A suspended canopy that sounds cool. How are you going to keep the light from spilling out of space between the tank and the lights form shining out? That would drive me crazy.

Are you sure you don't want to come over to the ways of The Darkside and convert to LED's LMAO Just kidding again.

Oh there will be LEDs involved!

I'm not too worried about light spill add the light will be about 8"off the water. I want the edges of my fixture to hang slightly lower than my T5 bulbs and then I will angle the reflectors inwards toward the tank.
