Quick video of my tank

Looks great!! Do you have problems keeping the Anthelia in check? I have it growing along the back glass of my tank too. I think it gives a really cool backdrop to some of your SPS.

Thanks! I tell ya, that anthelia is a pain in the butt, it looks cool on the back glass but man it spreads! I've had to cut it back a bunch of different times. One kind of cool thing though, it totally covered me return pipes so you can't see them.

Re: Quick video of my tank

Thanks Alan! A couple of them are getting a little too big, I think I need to get a bigger tank :).

We could start a thread about how cruel you are to have such big corals in such a small tank...show it to Kathy and tell her PETA's all over you and those jerks at RC are roughing you up and the right thing to do is go with a 240 inwall. We got your back.lol

Re: Quick video of my tank

It's worth a shot! Btw how does this happen, I have an sps coral that has spread two brand new colonies, one right under the mother colony but the other is all the way across the tank and growing on the glass (take a look, cell phone pics though)

Looks like P. damicornis which is a brooder/self-planulating coral. Honestly, I can't believe it isn't all over your tank, that stuff is much worse than Xenia or Anthelia. Usually they spawn about every 4 months or so, and the babies reach sexual maturity around that same 4 month age. Needless to say, it can become a nuissance, quickly (looks like your filtration is getting most of the larvae, though).

BTW, the tank looks great. The growth pattern on that bali slimer is wild, I've never really seen such long, single, finger-like branches on a coral like that.

Re: Quick video of my tank

Thanks! Who would have guessed, an sps that grows like a weed lol. The green slimer has also been growing like a weed, there is a spot on the glass where it was touching; now there is a new colony growing there.

And thats not even the original weed sps coral right?

Re: Quick video of my tank

Right now I don't, I was planning on adding a frag tank but I haven't got it done yet.
