quik must find out!!ID PLEASE,harmful or not?

Hey i have theese snails i dont know if there harmful or not. I dont know the names of them either. But everyone calls them "conchs" localy here in florida. But there tiny to be a conch. Anyways here they are id please!!

it's a florida crown 'conch' Melongena corona. it's not a true Strombus conch however, it's a predator of other benthic invertabrates.

mostly to bivalves but they'll drill anything that stands still long enough (snails,etc).

I've never put them with coral (never felt the need to risk it), so I can't say for sure they'd bother them.

Alright well ill try em for 3 days or so and see how they go then ill post up how they behave.

K scrath the 3 day wait. My cousin said they lay eggs like crazy and are very bad. So i dont want to take the chance.I just pulled them out.They could make a good meal if u get a good bit of them :rollface:

Looks like you have a large Aipstasia behind the rock in the first pic. You will want to get rid off it as they multiply and can become quite a pest.

Yeah ill eventually get rid of it all before i start getting some corals.I got rid of most of it. It doesnt grow back really. Its not yet a pest it looks nice for right now.But when it needs to be taken out ill take it out. thanks though
