quirky kole

I have a kole tang 4 to 5" that I've had for almost a month now that is acting really weird .he's with several other tangs the smallest one being a soha 3" and largest a dussimer 7".yesterday I noticed he was swimming a lot more than usual.after close inspection was surprised to see he had his tail spikes extended and swimming in circles around one of the large rock formations in opposite side of the tank where he usually hangs out.none of the other fish were bothering him at the time.after coming home today he still has his spikes out and swimming rapidly around the tank and didn't eat .I've had several different tangs over the years and a few koles and have never seen a tail spike extended before this let alone stay out for a long period of time.has anyone ever experianced this type of behavior before or have an idea what could have caused this.mtbiker41

Any chance you have a blenny in your tank?

The only aggression I've ever seen from a Kole Tang was directed at comb-tooth blennies. I also wouldn't be suprised if he's having to defend himself from the Sohal even though its smaller.
