yea so im pretty sure my haddoni carpet ate my little blue tang... has anyone ever had the same or similar experience.... im kinda bummed out... she was my littlest dori.... =[

Oh I was goin to say if it was new in the tank very good chance it could have just swam right in.Did he ever go near the anemoe when the lights were turned off?

i have had a couple of fish go missing and i also blamed my bta. my salifin gets very close to my nem. sorry about ur loss.

o definately i have a pair of black saddlebacks and i swear they were like best friends. they would always be next to each other and he would hover over the anemone at all times of the day... so yea he got way to close for my comfort. and thanks squidy3. i really underestimated how much one can care for a little fish. anyways enough of that. its part of the food chain and it was out of my control. i miss him. he was a grand hippo ! lol

b4 i redid my rockwork.

I lost 3 baby blond nasos, that just straight out swam right into nems mouth on intro.
The 3rd one lasted 2 days, I was actually on here typing and about to post pics saying "finally success w/ a new blond naso" thread when I heard a splash!lol
Nothing like seeing the skull spit out of a $100 fish...3 times!ugh...
Moonlights may help you.

That's awful...and very unfortunate...moonlights are a great idea...helps my fish see at night and they're a must if you have any type of spiney urchins in there...as I almost lost a fish to a poke in the eye!

I had a green carpet try to eat a large Naso Yang. Needless to say I ave switched to bubbletips and no longer have any concerns. Thats what carpets do!!!

Wow that sucks, they seem to have expensive taste. I didn't realize that carpets were so aggresive thanks for the heads up. I have bubble tips and have not seen any behavior that is remotely similar to what you guys are describing.

In my 10+ years of keeping Haddonis (( currently have 5 of them )) I have only lost 2 fish, a yellow watchman goby and a Mandarin.

Might want to considered adding more sand to your sand bed, since Haddonis are sand dwelling anemones. First, the anemone would be better that way, and secondly getting it off the rocks might help keeping fish away from it.

so it is in fact a haddoni? i have tried to put him on the sand bed but he always climbs up to the rocks... but then again i didnt do a very good job making sure he had direct flow on the sandbed... i can definately give him more flow now but how would you suggest i reomve him from the rock without tearing the foot?
