a hui ho back at ya...
I had a blast! OMG...
FIRST AND FOREMOST:
Thanks to chris, and oscar, (and I forgot the other guys name that worked there). I can not believe they sent three people down to take care of us. I think we had over a dozen or more Reef Central members there today. (at least a dozen, not counting the keikis)
I liked the little show they put on for us to show us how to cut and frag, and mount the corals. They even gave us a little demo on how to 'professionally' wrap and bag thier corals. And although I liked Phishx's method too, I gotta trust that Oscar does this professionally and shippes out a gazzillion times more then you, (sorry) I did get a crackl up at the skimmer that was overflowing. (Check out phishx's pics above), that is a ton of skim mate from all them coral...I was impressed
And it was a good thing they had three guys taking care of us, as although I was not surprised that many of you all bought stuff, I cant believe almost everyone bought something. And really Kieth, I think they might take you in at the betty ford clinic for coral addiction...
And I like your budget. Check this out you all,,, he is allowed to spend like $30 bucks on coral. But was not told how many corals he could buy as long as they dont cost more then $30, (each). My kind of budget...
I think you kept Chris hopping today all by yourself...
And special thanks to Chris, (owner of REEFERMADNESS). I have never had anyone open up a store for customers when they would normally be closed. That is some kind of special something right there. I am greatful to you for allowing us to hang out, check out your store, your operations and your fabulous selection. You definately have one heck of an operation there, keep up teh good work
Now, to all those that were there, I am impressed. You showd me that the power of the internet is truly awsome, I put out this simple little thread to try to meet people, put a face to the member name / avatar, and you all show up like that. Thank you so much. It was a killaz afta-noon brahdahs, (and wahines).
For those that left before it was time for grindz, you missed out, I had some lau lau and teriaki chicken combo plate lunch, omg, it was to die fo....
I got a trip otta the guy that worked there , that helped himself to my box o corals. I guess his curiosity got a hold of him so that he just had to open the box before he asked if it was our box....
At least he recognized it as being corals just by looking at the bags...
Anyways, thanks again to Chris at RM and to his assistants, and to everyone else for hookin up for the afternoon.
See you all next time.
Bill
