Rabbitfish/Foxface Owners, POST HERE!!!!!

Rastarainy- no worries on my fish. I baught it way before I understood the term "reef safe". I understand now.

If you end up with zoas dissapearing, you know who to watch before ruling out other things.

Even the reefsafe fish have tendancies to turn not competely reef safe. With many types of fish, its really just a roll of the dice. My roll was a bad one. Dont let this info make you worry to much. Not all rabits eat coral. Its just a chance that they may develop the tase as mine did.

Mine at my zoas like I did M&M's when I was a kid-

Blue, red and yellow first, then finished off the green and brown when the other colrs werent left....

I've had my rabbit for over 6 years now.

Personality and fear? If yours frightens easily, from my experience it is eaither relatively new or you dont spend much time in front of your tank.
My Lo will sometimes spook when he sees a stranger, but for the most part will be front and center trying to bump noses with me or the kids.

Unfortunately, mine has aquired a taste for LPS. He has eaten two open brains, an elegance, and a scholi. Keep him WELL fed. I feed nori daily and mysis weekly.

Cloudy eye

Cloudy eye

I noticed in some of these rabbitfish pictures, some of their eyes look cloudy. I have the same fish as Stanley-Reefer. In his pic, his rabbitfish has cloudy eyes and mine looks exactly the same. Is this how this species always looks or does the rabbitfish have flukes? Everything else in my tank looks super healthy.

Love this fish! I have had it for about 4 years. Perfect citizen. Its at least as wide as the blue tang in the pic.

orange spotted rabbitfish (Siganus punctatus)
I've had one in my reef for nearly 2 years and he is a gentle well behaved fish. The color is much better in person as they have very rich color.

Is it normal for foxface to have a tiny line down their side? It's about as big as a wire and is near the top. Is this a vein?
