Radiant wrasse and mandarin

Hey,
Will a radiant wrasse and mandarin dragonet be able to live together in my 90g with 20g refugium? (pod wise?)
Thanks

Thanks, I heard somewhere that radiants will outcompete mandarins for pods, but apparently not.
Thanks a lot!
Marko9, do you think the two spotted mandarins (what were the sexes) could have lived in the 90 together long term?
Thanks

I had them for over a year. Then in the "great tank fiasco" I lost both of them when switching over to my 180

Were they a pair?

They did not fight, but I never saw them spawn either.

Hold up there... In my opinion they and many other wrasses will out compete Mandarins for food. I added a Radiant wrasse a while back in hopes that he would take care of zoanthid eating nudis. Sadly, after his addition my Mandarin got progressively skinnier and eventually starved despite my efforts to try to ween him onto prepared foods and supply him with fortified live brine. This was in a 65 gallon with a 50 gallon sump/refugium and a 30 gallon frag tank that has over 120 lbs. of live rock.

I agree that wrasses compete for food. There is no doubt about that. I also had my madarins in a nano at work for about 4 months where they ate brine and mysis.

I did not say that they did not compete, all I said tit that I kept them. How often do you feed your tank? I feed my tank at least two meaty sessions per day, plus pellets, nori and flake.

I have been feeding meaty foods and nori once a day with flakes 2 times a day.
Would the wrasse have its fill or would their be problems?
What do you recommend feeding the tank?

You could feed your tank 10 times a day and the wrasse and most other fish will still be on the porwl for more throughout the day.

Orca, are you willing to supplement your pod population from time to time (by buying live pods to add to your fuge)? If so, then it might work out ok.
