So after my yellow coris jumped for the second time (1st time saved, 2nd time 3 days later, couldnt save) i decided i wanted a new fish....
So i was at lfs and was choosing between a Copperband and the Radiant.....
And the winner is....The Radiant Wrasse
Anyone have any experience with them? Cool fish so far, was eating already but seemed to be bothering my 6line.

most likely the six line will kill the radient or will make him jump out or hide in the sand until he starves or vice versa. Either way it will be better if you separate them.

actually the radiant was pestering the 6line, not the other way around. the 6line has been mine for 2 yrs now (started in nano, now in dt) and NEVER a problem. he was in the nano with a big b&w clown and a firefish, no problems there.
we'll see when i get home from work today...

I've had all kinds of corris wrasses with my radiant wrasse as well as fairy wrasses and the family of wrasses that dive in the sand. Never messed with lined wrasses since i think they look too boring but the radiant tends to boss around larger peaceful wrasses initially however shortly after new specimen introductions everyones a big happy family

my sixline killed my radiant . i also had a post of it :( try to take the six line out . it was nice to have him one day . he also ate good . but i dont think u want ur six line to die . wrasses are very angry fish when they want to be .

my 6line is about 3 in. the radiant is 4-5. is there still going to be problems? i have no idea whats going on in my tank right now....could be ww3 for all i know.

**knocks on wood**
so far apparently i have been lucky. i've only heard horror stories about the 6lines. i really didnt think they would fight, seeming how they are completely different shape, size and coloration. the 6line and the yellow coris (b4 surftime) were buddy buddy, cruising the rocks together picking off all the pods. oh well, we will see when i get home, either 2 buddies or...

You are right they shouldn't fight based on their shape and color, but in this particular case it doesn't work that way, I have seen it so many times that I am convinced that this two species "don't like each other"
It is odd how the six line goes from being perfect citizens for years to serial killa just by adding a radiant!
I think that these two species compete for the same food source and thats why one needs to go.
Generally the six line wins the battle at least I have never seen it the other way around, if you notice that the radiant is not active or nowhere to be found is probably because he is hiding in the sand, don't wait any longer and just remove one of them, otherwise he will starve in the sand and die.

If you have any openings in your canopy you should consider installing some egg crate or something similar where the fish cannot jump out but it still allows air flow through your canopy.

wow.....actually i was wrong. my gf just called and said he was out. she said that all was well in the tank. swimming around picking at the rocks

i have a canopy. i have to put something on the back.....its only a 2 in opening, but thats how the yellow coris met his demise.
