Radion XR30w Pro gen height

I have just installed a new tank with 2 Radion XR30w Pro gen with wide angle lens for a 250 gal 3ft deep tank. I have too much ambient light in the room with the current height they are hanging.

What height is recommended for hanging and is there a formula for reducing intensity for say every inch it is lowered?

I was told that I should have about 3-4 inches on the wall.

How far off the water lines are your 2 Radion XR30w Pro's hanging? Are they Gen 2 or 3?

Gen 3 and about 7 inches

The attachment has the recommended hanging distance from their user manual. I have the Radion xR30w Gen 3, and love it
