Raising clams w/ 70w mh + 72w pc in a 24g?

I have a 24 gallon nanocube with stock 72watts of PC lighting. I'm considering the addition of a 70w metal halide. I'd like to know if y'all think that I can keep a clam and SPS in the tank with this upgraded configuration. If so, are there certain clams that I can or can't raise?

I'd say yes. Just put whatever clam directly under the MH bulb. The problem you are going to have is stability of temperature. Clams/SPS don't liike temp or chemistry swings, so plan for heat carefully. Also, be sure to keep chemistry (especially SG, CA, and ALK) rock steady always.

That's good to hear. I think I have the water chemistry pretty stable now, but I'll monitor the system for a couple of more months before taking the plunge. Thanks Peabody.
