Raising Mag: how much, how fast?

Well I finally got a mag test kit that works (my salifert kit showed 1750ppm no matter what, and I never have added any mag supplemements to my tank)

Anyhow, my new seachem test puts it at 1175ppm, and I'd like to get it up to 1350ppm (full SPS system, doing the pappone + aminos method)

Is there any problem with raising the level over the course of one day, as long as I don't overdose and precipitate (I think that would be difficult anyways)?

I've got the Seachem mag supplement, as well as the tropic-marin bio magnesium supplement. Both are basically mag sulfate I believe, although the tropic marin states it contains calclium and other trace minerals.

i wouldnt raise it more then 100ppm per day and if your just using Mg sulfate i dont even think i would raise it that fast
