Raising Magnesium

Hi there,

I have problems raising magnesium in my 120litres tank.
All readouts are good, N, P, C= 440, salinity at 9dkh.
Any idea what is wrong? Appreciate your response.

What is the problem: test kit or additive?

I used Seachem Mg kit - good enough.
As for additive - any will work. I tried Seachem Reef Advantage Magnesium (sulphate) and ESV liquid. Next time will try Epsom salt (sulphate too). Mix of chloride and sulphate will be much better.

It's only scary to add such amount of additive...

You can raise Mg levels in newly prepared water too, only measure salinity afterward. And, if raise in tank - do it slowly.
My 2 cents :D

Randy's 2 part:
4 lb Epsom salt mixed with water to make a gallon.
I use this with a drip into a 125g
1000ml dripped once a month over 2 day's
