Random pally of some sort maybe?

Have a handful of these growing around my tank. Didn't care much to do anything about them when they were small, well now there are a few that have gotten large enough to irritate coral around them.
I tried to snip them with scissors, pluck with tweezers, but they pull back into the rock to quick.
Any advice as to what they are and how to remove them would be greatly appreciated.
Jon

Aiptasia perhaps? They're sneaky hitch hikers and can overrun your tank over time. I am pretty new to this too so someone else will be able to comment better but be careful about manual removal as some people think they will propagate faster if they're not removed properly.

Think dandelions...

the gnarly looking dark brown ones in the center of frame? those look like some big ole aiptasia or majano anemones.

obnoxious and pesty, but can be conquered in a variety of ways.

i've used stuff like aiptasia-x or joe's juice in the past. squirted in to their mouth at the center of their oral disk. you can also use stuff like kalk slurry, lemon juice, or even boiling water.

just make sure not to hit any Z's or P's when shooting them.

Well, did a search for aiptasia and you guys are definitely right. I should have searched through more pests first. Thanks.
