I just got back from RAP, was there from 10:30 to 11:45.

It was very busy, with quite a few venders and frag booths. The frag booths were gettting a LOT of action, with most of them having a crowd of people 3-4 deep crowding around the tanks trying to get a look at the frags.

Frag Farmer and Steve Tyree had large crowds, and I overhead Steve telling people he had already sold out of some items.

Marine depot had a booth. Sam from SLS was there with the new Lumenarc fixtures, both the double ended and the mogul. A guy was there selling complete jellyfish systems, complete with chillers, tank raised jellyfish etc. These were smaller versions of what you see at places like Long Beach Aquarium, where the water flows in a big circle. Very nice.

SoCal Creatiosn was there with a couple of nice tanks with big discounts, as well as a few sumps.

I saw a few people from RC, laverda, rascal, among others.

I picked up my H&S A200-1260 from Eric at Frag Farmer. There was also a vender I hadn't heard of before, FC World, who was selling Wavysea Plus' for $225 each including tax. I bought two of those, LOL! He had the regular Wavyseas' for like....$175 I think.

Sure wish my tank hadn't melted down in the last power outage, there were some nice frags beign sold!

Thanks to everyone at SCMAS fro all their hard work, it sure is a great event!

Steve,
I think I saw you at Terry's booth (stryker_578) but wasn't sure if it was you. Were you wearing a red shirt and sunglasses? Sorry if I didnt say hi, cause I wasn't sure if it was your or not lol. You didn't have sun glasses on when you came by my place last time.

i had never even heard of a geoduck before, then i saw "dirty jobs" :D for the love of......it only reaffirmed my desire to NEVER try clams. i'll have shrimp once or twice a year but that's the extent of what i'll eat from the sea.

For those of you who looked up a picture of a geoduck, I'm truly sorry.

I forget that in its unprepared, natural state, it appearance is highly offensive to most men, while grotesquely fascinating to certain women.

Its best eaten sliced razor thin and raw, taken straight from the restaurant or market's display tank, and served over ice, with wasabi soy sauce on the side for dipping. Mirugai in sushi restaurants and geoduck (pronounced goo-ey-duck) in Chinese "fresh" seafood restaurants, hot-pot or raw.

Back on topic: couldn't go, where prices any better at RAF for livestock than reef stores, or is it just good selection at regular prices?

had alot of fun...apparently im very anti-social in reguards to reef events...lolz....why? i dont really know. met a few ppl...but not many... i think i saw Nicole, super smart lady in the front? :D
