Rapid ATO help Needed!

So I am about to leave for vacation and installed a ATO from ATO.com in my sump tonight. My ATO is a dual switch model. I am using an aqualifter pump. My temporary resevoir while I am gone is a 32 gallon RM Brute trash can.

My trash can is full of RO/DI water at this point and the sump water level is about 2 feet physically below the water level in the resevoir. Once the float switch shuts off the the pump a siphon continues to fill my sump (which will be problematic if I leave.) How do I install a siphon break on this little air line tubing to prevent the siphon and prevent overfilling my sump?

Any help offered is desperately needed. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm....

Are you able to have it pump the top off water into your display tank temporarily while your gone?? That might be high enough to not create a siphon...

As for a permanent fix, you may have to think about that while your on vacation...

You could poke a small hole in the tubing, right below the water line in your fresh water container. When the pump runs, water will squirt out that small hole. But when the pump shuts off, air will be sucked in and break the siphon. So place the small hole carefully so it doesn't spray water out onto the floor.

The only thing I can think of is what ooja3k said, pump the water to a higher location like the display. Its not going to matter where you pump the water to as long as the float valves are in the return.

If you put the tube in the tank, and it's in the water, then a reverse siphon will be created and flood your fresh water container. So if you do that, make sure the end of the tube isn't in the water.
