Yup, I wish I had taken a little more time and replaced it with 1" pvc like some of these others have.

I have seen some change it though after everything is already running. Maybe a project for the near future.

So I repositioned my indoor camera to get a good view of my tank and I like how it just blends perfectly into that nook.

I added some more Green Chromis to add to the bioload and get the cycle moving.

I'm getting a bit of a resonating hum from the Sicce 9 pump. I don't know if it's the way it's plumbed or how it's attached to the stand with the clips or a combination. I'm considering getting rid of the flow meter and just running flex tubing from the pump to the return.

I'm really contemplating switching out the stock plumbing with 1" pipe.

I also put a small shelf in for the dosers this weekend.

Very nice system.

I see steel hose clamps. I would recommend you switch them out for some plastic clamps. They might be stainless but it will also corrode over time and dump heavy metals into your system and cause die off of your corals.

Yeah, that's another issue with that whole return system. It's going to get revamped here pretty soon. The plastic ones won't squeeze the thick walls of that braided tubing so I have steel ones temporarily. I looked them up and they sell titanium ones but won't be necessary soon.

Nice build - following with interest [emoji1303] I'm trying to decide on either the 750 or 650 Peninsula

Its not the plumbing, nor the flow meter. Several people who have this pump have noted that it vibrates.

Yeah, I know. I'm subscribed to that thread and I'm not happy about that. I'm trying to decide whether I want to buy another one but I have a lot of money invested in this one.

I cannot locate the forum "thread" noted.
I'm interested in the Sicce SDC series, but only have the ELos 11000 and Vectra M1.

Welcome to the neighborhood.

Welcome to the neighborhood.

I was originally going to keep it a FOWLR but those that have kept a reef tank know that you can't stay away from those vibrant corals. I plan to make this an sps tank. I had to change up the rock work a bit to allow for Tang swim throughs and hiding spots.

The guys at Fish Frenzy were great with advice and setting up this beauty. I am lucky to have around 6 different shops within a 10 minute drive.

I just ordered a new NYOS Quantum 160 Protein Skimmer at a steal of a price. I wasn't too comfortable with that used ASM even though it was recommended. I've read great reviews on the NYOS.

The stock 7.5 gal ATO lasts about 2.5 days due to all the open area. I have a 15 gal can that I'll bring in pretty soon.

Just curious are you in Wildomar? I am not sure where the LFS are? I am in Menifee. Nice tank, I love the white stand, looks like you are getting all the correct equipment, it is going to be nice.:celeb3:
