Whats your favorite rare butterflyfish?

I agree, Basabei or Carlhubbsi, but I do also like P. Guyanensis:

i love them all!!

no doubt about it. by far one of the most beautiful fish family

favourites being the prognathodes, the tinkeri complex (roaops) and SMITHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

of coz all others rank very high too.
 
Wow great fish guys! I've always loved the progs. Deepwater butterflies are awesome! Is temp a prob or do you guys keep it lower than normal.
 
Yes, with these deepwater fish it is important to keep your temperature lower than normal. I think you'll find a wide range depending on the exact fish, however. Some can be kept long term at 72 (or maybe even 75 for a select few), while others will need low to mid 60s.
