Rarities underwater

Resurrecting this thread with a couple of pictures I took in Fiji last week. Didn't take many pictures there, the weather was crappy the whole time! :(

Lovely!! Such a shame I couldn't keep that color on my male :(

Once again, beautiful fish and photography, Luiz!

Well, my photography skills are lacking but hopefully the fish will make up for it :)

Kenny i don't blame you posting that fish in every thread that it would have a connectio to because that is an absolute stunner!!!

Here is a nice rare one, A Blue Morph Potters Angel, And that Swallowtail pictured above, My LFS just got in a nice pair of them, asking 150 for them. Not to bad.

Heck, $150 for the pair is a great price. If they eat in the store I'd buy'em.

If you don't mind my asking, what store in NJ?

If I decide not to get them I will let you know. the owner is holding them for me as of now, They just came in today so I didn't wanna jump the gun. But I also know that Nyaquatics has a Male and Female for sale, not paired up though. They also have male and female Bellus as well as Lamarks right now. It is Nyaquatics.com

Hi Luiz.

i must say, your photographic skills are great! you really making me think to start using my housing for fish! i am a surf photographer! but the water in East London, South Africa is not the cleanest!

Luiz, a friend of mine caught a fish that resembles a juvi tiger angel here last dec. no one is able to ID it since the guy killed it. (he thought it was a fly) ill find the picture and if you could give us a positive ID, that would be great

Thank you
Bruce

okay here the pics.. it has been frozen for some time so this is the best that the guy could do. Reason i am posting here is that i want Luiz to see this. thank you

Beautiful photos.

As an underwater photo enthusiast I can relate to how hard it is to shoot some of these species. It mustve taken you a lot of waiting to get some of those shots.

You rock!

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Bruce, your fish does look like a juvenile Tiger Angel (A. kingi). I have never seen one that small as juveniles seem to prefer much deeper water. They lose those vertical bars very soon after settling, so that specimen is very young.

Just curious why would he think a fish is a fly? Did it jump out of the water at him?
