Rate my Scape...

I'm an Addict.
So, my new 220 has been up and tied into my existing 93 reef for the past 6 months about... Everything is finally starting to look good and come around...

I haven't really moved the scape around too much since I've initially filled it with water.

I was contemplating the other evening order another 50lbs from MarcoRocks and filling in the back middle portion that is basically an open swim through right now in the middle of the tank.

My rock work is pretty low... Not too high, I was thinking something taller in the back could make it look a bit better, but then thought maybe not and just leave it alone?

Just looking for some opinions... I can post some side shots later to get a better idea on rock work currently.

Thanks,
LUKE

I like it, looks full enough for me. I kept mine pretty open, considered putting more rock in, but I like the open look, sacrifices a bit of space for corals, but adds more swimming room.

I wanted the swimming room initially... Queeny and Harlequin and tangs... All want their space... I guess I'll leave it... Corals in time will make it look a lot more full as well... Right now it's pretty sparse as far as corals go.

Leave it. I'm redoing mine with only 5 shelves and some Tonga branch. Fill the sump with rock. I like your scape.

Down the road, the corals will fill it, and you won't a detritus nightmare from all the mess being trapped under the rock.

Less is more in aquascaping.

You could build a tree like structure off centered with more branch rock. Other combinations with just more Marco rock are infinite. Looks good now but you have plenty of room to switch things up.

7 it's nice don't get me wrong, I like it, but my thought on tanks is, if I put serious money in to something I want it magazine ready at any moment. It's nice but anyone can have it. What makes it wow?

Dang dude don't hold back.

I think the pic above is completely magazine worthy.

Edit:
Screw the tank, I want to see the rest of the picture above it...

A seven is above average, I also said I liked it, and he asked for an opinion. I gave him mine, if you have a different one, I am glad you were also able to share it. That is all he asked. Sorry if I need to filter myself.

I was kidding around brah.

My wife tells me I have issues being serious...

Not an expert by any means...took me months to finally get my rocks where it didn't make me cringe. Some hate it, some love it. Just like yours, some love it, some don't.
Here's my opinion. Need at least a little bit of open sand front to back in a tank that big. Take advantage of the size.
The right side is perfect in my eyes. I do like a full reef. not a fan of minimal.
If you just simply remove the tonga, it will look like 4 fake mounds. So here's what I would try if I were you:
1) Remove the tonga completely to your sump. To me an eyesore.
2) Slide the far left mound closer to the back if you can
3) Look at the mound second from the left. Remove both of those rocks. Try placing the smaller of the two back in slightly to the right and slightly in front of the left mound. Leaving space for fish to swim out of sight between them.
4)Take that out, and do the same with the big one.
Maybe you could put that smaller one on top of the left mound to give more height difference??
