Raw questions

I have seen amazingly convincing evidence to start shooting in raw, but my question is it better to process them in lightroom 2 or photoshop cs4? I have both and don't even know really what it means to process them lol so an help would be nice.

Both LR and CS4 use the same software to do the conversion; Adobe Camera RAW (ACR). With LR it's integrated. In PS it's an add-on module. Because of that there is no quality difference between them in terms of RAW conversion. LR gives you, IMO, a much easier workflow; especially if you're just learning to shoot RAW.
