raw shrimp as food?

hey guys i saw at a local store raw...not cooked...raw shrimp....do ya guys think thats ok to feed fish,after all it is a natural marine food,was asking cause it is lots cheaper then normal frozen fish foods,i dont think i'd just use that as food mind you but in addition to the normal frozen foods we'd normally use....thanks for the advice guys/gals
 
Careful, some put additives in, like chlorine, to keep it fresh longer. It was quite prevalent in the past, perhaps less so now. I think if you buy it flash frozen you'd be OK but be wary of ppl selling it at those seafood stands or markets displaying it behind glass.
 
i had thought of doing that as well,i could buy a package,post the pic of it and maybe ya guys could tell me
