RBA ate my clown

Last night as I was feeding the fish I noticed the female clownfish was missing and the big RBTA was huge. They have lived together for 3 years or so with no problems. Would BTA eat a clownfish? The big question is should I get a bigger ocellaris to replace her or let the male assume the new role?

Not in the overflow, not on the floor the anemone was the size of a tennis ball which I had never seen before, and its tentacles were only 1/2 inch long or so. I bought a new clown roughly the same size and they seem to be getting along fine it is now day #2 for them
