RBTA and high Nitrates ?

Thinking of buying a large 8" RBTA for my 75 gallon FOWLR.
Concern is for the care and survival of it.
I have a mated pair if Clowns that would love this thing.

My water conditions are good except Nitrates.
They are running around 80.
I have done water changes, tryed Nitrate sponges, etc, etc... cannot get them down.

So I think the problem is too much bio load... so I am upgrading to a 125 gal in next couple weeks.
So I am wondering if I get this RBTA right now (as it will not be around for long at this price) and put it in my current 75 gal with the high nitrates.... will this kill it?
I know that they are the hardiest of the anemones...

BTW...
75 gal FOWLR
about 70# of live rock
yellow tang, coral beauty, 2 cromiis, klein butterfly and small snowflake eel.
all fish are less than 3" in size.
ASM G1x skimmer in a 20 gallon sump
Aquarclear 110 filter
2 Hydor #4 powerheads

While that isn't optimal, it really shouldn't have a huge effect on the anemone. I have had/seen specimens thrive in tanks that had much higher levels.

I suspect that you don't have good lighting. If you did, you'd have hair algae soaking up your nitrates. Without good lighting, the anemone won't survive.

You should really strive for nitrates at zero. When you hit that and you have good lighting, then your ready for a BTA.

In my 75 gallon, I have a 48" Coralife 4x65 along with the acentic bulbs... really nice light fixture, just changes the white bulbs 2 months ago.... however I have turned the white light schedule down to about 5 hours a day .... summer months and power bills.... really have little alge... several months back I got the cyno alge, but was able to get it under control.

I have 2x 150watt MH in a 100g for my BTA. It has split twice now.

I don't know what is sufficient for a BTA, but I suspect that if my nitrates were 80 my hair algae would be out of control.

I have to wonder if my test kit is bad. I seemed to have had high nitrates since I got the tank... even when there was only live rock and 1 fish in it.
I have read the good PC lighting is sufficient for RBTA....
In your experience, would agree or disagree with that statement?

I have kept RBTA's for 5 years, and an experienced skilled person can keep them under PC's.
But,
In your tsnk, it will probably be eaten by your butterfly fish.

I have a recovering RBTA that was almost dead when I recieved it under PC's. It will need to be near the top of the tank but they can do well under PC's but your lighting period will need to be around 11 hours on it. I run the atinics 12 hours and the whites 10. Unless you go get some of those new fancy PC's that have the built in reflector.

liquid test kits do expire... especially the nitrate tester...

i believe they have expiration dates on the boxes...
