RBTA Been been eating!!

Just got a Rbta a few days ago but i have seen my Maroon eatin it !! He's Much larger than my Bta .Question is did i make a big mistake?The guy in the lfs said it would be fine when i got it.:eek2:

Well...you should probably separate the clown and the anemone until the anemone gets a lot bigger...usually recommend the anemone be three times bigger than the fish you want to host in it.

A strawberry basket or something similar over the anemone should do it.

are you sure its eatting it? my maroons suck on the ends of tenicles sometimes (after a yr of observation ive noticed they only do it when the nem is expelling waste.. maybe helping get rid of the inside water, i donno)

but... a large maroon will beat the HECK out of a little bta. no matter what size it is they seem really rough with it the first 2 weeks, then calm down alot.

My paired maroons also suck on the ends of my small recovering RBTA. Could be doing that . Are there pieces of the anemone coming out of the fish's mouth?

Yeah my saddlebacks will suck on the tips on my haddoni. My Fire clown would also do that to my gbta. Is the clown actually pulling pieces of the nem off?

my first BTA was doing great.....until i got a pair of maroons. it was too small, and the maroons did beat it up. it went into a hole in the rock to die, or it got stuck. either way, it died.

to stick with topic, i got a new BTA, that is a LOT bigger than my female maroon. i see the two of them nipping/sucking on the tentacles. but it doesn't appear to hurt the BTA. and it doesn't look like they are eating it.

Yeah saw it with my own eyes he was eating it !!Saw him bite lumps out of it.
