RBTA cloned again

ok, this is the 2nd time it has cloned itself and barret got the first one so if you want to see what it looks like then check his out.

It is about oh 3inchs across both ways once it heals up and I will sell it for $40 or trade for a few SPS or LPS corals.

ohok sorry man right as you were calling me last sat my phone just quit for a odd strange reason...sat is good but I only have some zoas and xenia right now for now unless you want some red shrooms then I can frag the now and they should be ok by sat...
 
I'll have you know that my RBTA I got from you was HUGE and happy... till yesterday. I came home to find little pink things on the sand and on the rock... then a white chuncky thing on the sand....then it dawned on me. The RBTA exploded/melted.
Put me on the list for Cone #3 please.
 
I wonder how come it did that? you have the right lighting and etc...thats weird well I have counted that it splits every 5 months...was you feeding it and etc ? it ever bleach?

I have had my RBTA 3 years and he has never cloned. Well ... I take it back. He did once when I first got him, but the clone crawled up the overflow, down the pipe and ended up in the skimmer pump. It was REALLY nasty. My tank was cloudy white and smelled like scallop soup.

Maybe it traumatized him into never trying it again. When he really stretches out, his base is easily 10" across.
 
I mean is it a good thing they do this ever so soon? My water parameters are 0ppm everything and ph 8.3 sometimes 8.4 when freshly added water...I think my phos are high but I don't have a test kit for that.

No bleaching or anything. It took a couple weeks to stop wandering and my clown's hosted almost immediately. Everyone was fine and happy. It got "fed" every time the clowns pooped.

naw I can't make it I have to work late sat...I work at landers dodge in southaven they are having a sale so i gotta work late and get some overtime.

noone yet but please allow a week or so I can make sure it is healed well and eating.



barrett- the clam is doin very well and it has grown rather slow, maybe a half a inch or so. I tried moving it mid way on the rocks but it some how moves back into this ok spot it likes on the bottom against the glass. So I gave up and just left it where it wants to be.
 
ok, if you want to come and get it now instead of a week thats fine but keep in mind that it is goin to be small for a little bit until it gets healed up and then it should start to expand. I do have it loose and in a sauce dish at the time b4 it plants it's foot. Or you can wait for a week or so to get it but thats up to you.
 
well i got good news its doing well but I still want to wait to make sure...you are the first one in line so don't worry about me getting someone else so cheer up :-)
