So about a month ago, I added an RBTA to my 24" tall 110g mixed tank, and within days, it split to become two (as I read is pretty commonly caused by the stress of a move). The other twin immediately moved and now resides on the back side of the same rock the same hight as the original. They are situated at the top of the bottom third of the tank height.
Running an Aquaticlife Edge 48" fixture on this tank, with three channels:
1) 6k (27 LEDs), reds (14 LEDs), & blues (7 LEDs) (LEDs are .5 watts each)
- Start at 7am and ramp to full on over two hours
- Ramp back down from 5pm to off at 7pm
2) 9k (27 LEDs) and 10k (33 LEDs) (LEDs are .5 watts each)
- Start at 10am and ramp to full on over two hours
- Ramp back down from 2pm to off at 4pm
3) "Lunar" blue (6 LEDs) (LEDs are .5 watts each)
- Start at 10am (this channel does not ramp up or down)
- Stop 10pm
Both the anemone in the vid below, and its twin, both deflate everyday about this same time since splitting. I am nervous that something in my conditions is causing both to stress out each day? They do re-inflate back to about the size at the start of the video within about an hour of the lights going completely off.
My params all test good with nitrates at <5ppm (or 5-10ppm at most), PO4 undetectable, 1.026, zero amm and nitrites, about 460 cal, 8.2ph, temp 77-78 degrees
Anyone with a BTA experience the same, or should I be concerned and start troubleshooting?
Thanks!
(Anemone starts deflating at about 38 sec., and the lighting is hard to discern from this time lapse... my camera was adjusting ISO and aperture automatically causing the lower and higher lighting conditions to appear the same throughout until it is only the blues...I may try again with fixed settings...)
