RBTA dying or dead?

My RBTA is dying/dead (?) although I know the cause (had done a water change from a container that had sorbitol [artificial sweetner] in it, the residue from this got in the tank, visibly causing cloudiness although several other issues, see here http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=10420031)

Anyways, I need to know what I can do about my RBTA. It is moved under the reef rack and does not look happy. It went from this (got told it 'inflates' when it wants to move - is that right?):

You can just see its tentacles underneath, it almost looks upside down with it's pedal facing the camera. Whats the yellow stuff? Any ideas? Should I remove it?

To me, the yellow areas look similar in shape to the reproductive nodules in my female clones - basically the connective and supportive tissue of the eggs. However, in mine, the color is more of an off-gray, greenish color.

As far as your anemone, it looks pretty far gone. I'd make sure it has sufficient water movement back there to carry away waste, and watch to see if it starts to disintegrate (if it does, pull it out).

yeah fully gutted thanks for your replies. i've ripped it out, definately dead. stunk REAL bad - see what they mean about polluting tanks. no ammonia or nitrates though so possibly got it out in time
