RBTA got stuck in powerhead

Not sure if he's a goner. Only other RBTA's, clownfish, and maybe hermits. Are they safe from the discharge?

I left him in the tank in case he's not a goner but I can't tell. I know they can discharge and kill the tank but not sure if this impacts other RBTAs and clownfish.

Thanks - Steve

Have some water prepared to do a big water change if it starts melting.

If it dies in the tank, it will impact all inhabitants as the dead anemone will foul out the water.

If the anemone starts to look like this, get it out immediately and use a net to try and capture all the little chunks. Then change the water asap.

It looks like this (sorry for crappy photo). It's definitely tore a little bit but it's balled up. Thoughts? Just did a 10G change (40G breeder tank) and put carbon in a filtersock right in the middle of the tank. I can keep an eye on it for an hour or 2 before I go to sleep. I'm making more water nor.

That looks bad. Tears are definitely not good...especially if the tears are on the foot...then it's a goner. Personally, I wouldn't risk it. Dead anemones will foul out a small tank quick.

Ok I flushed it. Like I said I had 10G mixed and 10G more mixing now. Put carbon in the tank.

Did I catch is quick enough or should I be nervous? I can do another 10G tonight or morning.

Thoughts?

You're probably fine. It didn't look like it had started the melting process yet. When they melt they turn into a pile of mush and pieces disperse everywhere. It's a big mess...and the smell...it's the worst smell you can ever imagine.

Good decision!
You can't overdue 10-20% changes, but I think your ok.
