RBTA hiding behind rocks

I have had a RBTA for about two weeks now. It has been moving around. I have tried feeding it raw pieces of shrimp. It won't take anything. Twoo days ago it went on a relocation spree and has been behind rockwork since then. It is not getting any light there so since it hasen't been feeding, I am getting worried. Anything I should do ?

Water params good. Overdriven T5's. SPS doing fine.

Thanks

It might take it some time to acclimate to your lights. It very likely has been in lower light conditions prior to your tank. You probably shouldn't try to move it just yet. Hopefully it will relocate again soon to a more visible, easier to access location.

Still in the same place, although it has stretched out a little toward the light. Still really in the dark though...

I would leave it alone for a week or so. Let it find the place it wants to be. Also I would not worry about it not taking food when it settles into your aquarium it will start taking food. They can live a long time with no direct feeding. Just make sure your water is all within ranges.

OK. All seems fine and I just added a Phosban reactor last night just in case, although Phosphate is within range.

I have an RBTA that was doing great. Then it hid for a month or more and really diminished. After that it came out and started eating again. Then it split! Since the split both have been awesome, great color, blown up large with big tips. Been that way over a year now. Hard to figure these things out sometimes.

Thnaks for encouragement. I will relax a bit as right now, it's not moving from behind the rocks even though my water params are good. The only one I might question is salinity. I am currently at 1.024. Not sure if that might stress then nem. I would rather be up around 1.026. Anyone know of any effects of salinity on nems ?

1.024 is ok for SG but I think they like it at a stable 1.025 or 1.026. What are you using to test the SG? If its a hydrometer..what kind? I ask this because I lost a bta because of my hydrometer was too old and was reading my SG wrong. It said 1.025 but it was actually 1.020. Low SG killed my anemone because of the hydrometer I don't trust them anymore.

I am using a refractometer so i assume it is pretty accurate. I am trying to slowly move the SG up to 35 ppt (1.0264).

In two days in went from completely hidden to this... It is also eating everything I give it. I guess it paid off to be patient and let it sit for a while. Don't know if it will stay where it is, but I hope so. Now my next challenge is to get my clowns to stop ignoring it... Any tips anyone ? They are Ocsellaris, tank raised I think. Thye seem to be a pair as they are inseparable.

Thanks for the advice.

Your anemone is very bleached, if it is healthy it will really color up.

As for the clowns and the RBTA, it just takes time. People report trying different things, including putting a picture of clowns in an anemone on the glass. There is no evidence that it matters. For me, it was several months (not uncommon) and then the clowns acted like the just discovered the thing. Started swimming around it, bobbing up and down.

The relationships seem to be somewhat complex. I lost one clown (jumped) and just replaced him after many months. The female was always totally buried in the anemone at night. Now that the new male is here he hasn't gone in the anemone and the female now sleeps outside the anemone with the male.

Indeed very nive. You can really see a big colour difference between now and two years ago.

Trout fishing ? Where abouts ? AZ ?

I have a few updated photos of my new nem. It's eating almost every day. Not sure if I am overdoing it. It takes anything I give it. How often do you feed yours ?
