RBTA- is this odd?

I overpaid for small RBTA. $100 about the size of a 50cent piece. It WAS tank raised though. I have bad experiences with wild caught ones. Anyway I get it home (after an 8 hour drive) it eats mysis fine for 2 weeks- THEN SPLITS! So now I have 2 the size of a quarter. They are both eating fine for the past week- mouths closed fine. Is it odd that they split this early? is it just a good sign that the tank raised one I got is very tolerant? will take pics when I go home

Nems will commonly split when they are stressed. Some people think it is a survival strategy. It could be from moving stress, but you may want to check your water parameters also. My rbtas always seem to split after large water changes.
