RBTA likes and dislikes

I have had my RBTA for over a month, and it has never looked happy. What kind of flow do they like, because mine has been in medium to high flow, and has never really blown up and reached for the light?

rbtas like to be pretty much blasted--intermediately--with flow. When you say "over a month" I assume that literally means you've had it for a month and a couple days.. give it time. My rbta didn't really expand itself until about a month and a half, but I've heard it can take longer..it really depends on how happy it is. Perhaps if it's possible try moving it somewhere else in the tank. (and it also has a LOT to do with lighting)

I have had one for almost a year. I stayed at the top appx 6 inches under my 150w MH. I got literally blasted intermittently by a hydor. Grew and got huge. I remodeled my filter now same flow in tank but it moved behind the rock then onto the side glass and looks unhappy. Still trying to figure out how I can get it back to a happy place.

magellan007 when you say it has a lot to do with lighting what do you mean? Do they like very direct Metal Halide lighting or slightly shaded?
