RBTA loosing color??

I am wondering how to get my RBTA back to its original red color. It also does not have the bubble effect. Any ideas?

After talking to the LFS I switched from silversides and shrimp to mysis shrimp about 4-5 weeks ago.

Their first thought was my lighting but I had just switched from a Current 80W light to a 150W MH only a week earlier, long after the RBTA lost its color.

It still doesn't look bad; have you noticed any changes in size/eating habits? Has it moved around the tank at all?

I think it looks healthier now than it used to. Appears to have a higher concentration of Zooxanthellae.

It has stayed in the same spot that it originally settled in and has tripled in size since I got it 6 mo. ago. It will eat anything I put in it, usually about 2-3 mysis shrimp about ever 2-3 days.

If the consensus is that it is healthy that is good, I was worried since it was loosing color and shape that it might not be.

Your clowns are notorious for being aggressive towards there anemones. They may be stressing it out a bit, I also think that it looks good in the pics!

Looks quite health to me, as for the bubbles that is up to the anemone if it wants to have them so to speak

A lot of times when clowns host an anemone, they can cause the bubbles to go away.

How do you know it has higher concentration of zooxanthellae?

Less light passes through it (AFAICT).

I'm glad to here that my anemone appears healthy.

Yes, this clown is pretty agressive. I believe he is responsible for a couple dead fish too. I am considering swapping him for a pair of ocellaris clownfish that I have in another tank. Maybe that would help improve the stress levels.

looks very healthy to me. Darker red can come from a change of lighting and food, among other things. I'd leave it where it is and give it the same care you have been, perhaps maybe feed a little less. Some brands of Mysis like Piscine Energetics are very high in fat & protien, so a little goes a long way.
