I added a GSM about 3 days ago. He went directly to my rbta, but the anenome refuses to completely open up and hasn't returned to its normal state. Is there anything I can do to coax this relationship along?

Best bet is to just leave them be, there's nothing you can do other than completely seperate the two.

Eventually the clown will calm down and the anemone will get used to the sugar.

not true.. maroons are notorious for being very aggressive in there host anemone(sometimes they have so much love for it they kill the anemone).. if you notice the anemone not opening and not looking good i would use a strawberry container to cover the anemone so the clown will stop pestering it.. how big is the anemone compared to the clown?? the anemone should be about 3x bigger than the clown..

Agreed.

mmmm.. agree and not agree. My maroon dove right intro my bta when i first got it. and the nem reacted baddly. I let it happen and the nem did look bad for awhile.

the maroon was VERY rough with it and wiggled non stop for at least a week.

she did calm down. shes VERY gentle with it now and they both survived the ordeal.

My nem was NOT three times bigger than the maroon either. whitch is recommended.

I did use a strawberry basket when the nem was expelling waste because she was so rough with the mouth at that point.

givce it a shot and feed it properly. it should be alright

thanks for the guidance everyone, much appreciated!

I think I'm gonna take it one day at a time. The maroon has mellowed out quite a bit so I'm just gonna keep a close watch.
