i was reading swtuff about the green and target mandarins and i saw aq couple sites saying that if there is an anemone in the tnak with these fish that they will most likely be eaten by them, is this the same for like an RBTA as welln or will i have to make a chouice between the 2

mines fine with a green bubble tip. It has clowns hosting it though. My mandarin is smart enough not to go around there.

yeha thats true if i get one i will make sure to get some clowns that will start hosting it before i put a mandarin in there and i have a buig enuf tank i hope. i wanna put both a green mandarin and a spotted mandarin in there.

My mandarin was gobbled up by the RBTA during the night. It was hosted in too.

Also, I definitely second the need for an established tank with lots of pods

sounds like RBTA are PITA next to a GBTA. Between seeing posts of them moving everywhere and eating things they shouldn't :(

my rbta ate my anthais im pretty sure..... but my clowns are so possessive of the rbta, im shocked anything could of gotten close enough.....for the most part i havent had a issue for about 2 months now

wow, I had two big atlantic anemones in my tank and never had an issue with them eating anyone! My mandarins were fine with them for years. Although I can see how they could get eaten at night if they are hosting it. They are pretty out of it when they are sleeping. I came across mine sleeping one night and didn't know what it was at first. I was poking at him and everything and he didn't even respond.
