RBTA question

My RBTA has looked strange for a couple days. The only way I know to explain it is it looks like a blob round and white is where her mouth is. Like her stomach is turned out? It's strange looking...she is eating. Is it getting ready to split? I know they get ugly right before they split. Thoughts? thanks.

She's having her food stolen by a bristle worm. A very large bristle worm. When he steals her food he pulls the food and the RBTA's mouth up and trys to pull it into the rock. The battle wages on. I've caught several just not the biggest ones yet. The RBTA's mouth is still swollen some but it is looking a lot better.

Oh wow....That is one ballsy bristle....Did you get a bristleworm trap from your LFS? They work well or you can get on the DYI forum and find some ways to do it at home..best of luck.... Just make sure you are giving your RBTA a big variety of foods....she will pull through

Yes I bought a trap but it's to small for the big evil worm I've also made my own trap just can't get the worm to commit. Must be a male. : 0

You are right though..the traps we sell are too small.

For bait make sure you are using something REAL smelly to entice the bastard...try fresh raw shrimp from your grocer..NOT from LFS
