I witnessed my first spawning event this past Friday night. I have 3 anemones in my tank right now. One is a GBTA and the other two are RBTAS, one of which I bought from Kevin(Anemone). This particular clone when it arrive and opened up was probably 8 inches across and has been eating well ever since. I know now that the clone I puchased is a female, but I'm not sure about the other two, so the chance that the eggs where fertilized is possible. I noticed last Friday night after the tank lights went out, and just the house lights were on that the water didn't look quite right. I then took a flashlight to the tank and saw possibly hundreds of eggs and this thick milky substance coming out of this RBTA. I was amazed to be able to witness this in captivity, and I have had this clone for about three weeks. This kept up for about 30mins, but the water stayed really milky for hours. I would also like to add that the nem wouldn't take food at all prior to the spawning, which it had done anytime I offered it. I didn't lose any livestock, and after a 20 gal. water change and a vinegar and water bath for my skimmer, all is well again
