I have had this RBTA for several months. I feed it once a week and it was getting rather large around 4-5" across. Last week it split and now both of them are turning almost white with pink tips. Is this normal? My water is all within range. They are in a 75 gallon with 2 250watt mh 10k salt is 1.024

Turning white means it is beaching and no that is not normal. It sounds like it is very stressed. What kind of food have you been feeding? Please list your params and what your routine mainteneence shedule is. Where in the tank is the nem?

I have been feeding it peices of Formula 1 and some Krill. I have my paramiters writen down at home so I will have to post them later today. I do water changes about every 2 weeks with Ro/DI water. The RBTA are on a peice of rock in the middle of the tank on the far right end towards the back. One is on the back side of the rock near the glass. It was doing fine until it split. it just starting turning color the last couple of days

I don't know about IL, but in MD we have already had a couple days in the 80s and 90s. You might want to check the tank temp in addition to what was already mentioned. Especially if you have a spouse who likes to turn off the air and open all the windows in the house except the ones in the basement where the tanks are.

My main system has already hit 84.3. It's usually 81.3.

Thanks for the input guys. How big a water change should I do. I don't want to over do it and shock them and make it worse.

As far as color changing goes...

When my GBTA's get large they loose their green and go more brownish, however when they split they go back to the beautiful green color. Then the cycle repeats (color loss, split, color back, etc)

do little water change but do it often. like 10% a week. carbon absorb a lot of the poisonous stuff that's emitted from your tank. recently, a few of my corals had their flesh peels off. i changed the carbon and they had recovered since.

Going to do a water change today and will get some carbon. Will see what happens

Should I continue feeding them?

Absolutely. If they are bleaching they will need all the supplimental nutrition they can get.
