RBTA split and will not eat

My RBTA split 2 weeks ago and both do not eat now. The will take the silverside, but let it go after a few minutes.

Before splitting, the RBTA would easily devour a silverside.

Is this normal?

Both RBTA still host both clownfish.

Thanks.

Fishforu,

It very normal for them to split, and they will take food when they are ready. If they are getting plenty of light they will not need any food for they make there own food with the algae they grow in their tissues. RBTA don't need to be feed unless they are not getting enough light. I know this because i don"t feed mine and I started with 9 in Oct 08 and now have close to 50 and Ive traded away as many as a dozen. They are getting what they need with light and good water movement and quality.

Prior to split, the RBTA easily ate 1 whole silverside a week.
So I was concerned when both didn't eat since the split.

Larry, thanks for your help.
