RBTA Split; my first! Now what?

Newbie question.

My RBTA I got two weeks ago split yesterday. I had been feeding it 1/2 a silverslide daily or every other day.

My question is do I start feeding them again right away or wait a period of time since the may be stressed?

I've had salt water tanks for a about 2 1/2 years now but this is the first anemone I've had split.

No replies? Well it looks like the mother split about 35-40% of her body with the tear through the mouth. She appears to have a functional mouth 2 days post split but the baby is not visible (only tentacles). After doing a bit of reading it seems I was likely overfeeding. I'm going to go with squirts of mysis & phyto this week and keep an eye on them.

Open to feedback from those with experience. I have a very large purple, long tentacle anemone that bleached out and have been nursing it back to health. Anything I can do to avoid that in these anemones would be great.

You should wait until the anemone is healed before feeding it. If the mouth hasn't finished forming it is a waste of food.
