Rbta Split

So here is the story behind this RBTA. I got it in February of this year after going through a powerhead. It was the size of my pinkie nail with only 3 tentacles. It grew to be about 7 inches wide up until last night. I woke up this morning to find two RBTA's sharing the same spot on the rock. The smaller split is up a little further than the momma and both are doing extremely well

LOL, go to sleep with one bta, wake up with 2 bta and a little blonde haired girl! what do you feed that one? my bta eats seafood buffet, and the little blonde eats fishsticks and chicken nuggets.

if the blonde one splits, i'm screwed!

The BTA eats silversides, mysis, krill, plankton, ect (my freezer is overrun with fish food), and the blonde one eats lunchables and nuggets. If the blonde one splits, I'm screwed too. I will try to snap some mouth pics if I can get the clowns out of it.

Awesome! I bought mine about 3 weeks ago and is growing new tentacles by the day! So I guess we shall see when mine splits.

But in the mean time, congratulations!

Mine went from three tentacles total to many many since February and just now split. I fed it daily and did massive water changes so that it would split. It was starting to take over the entire midsection of our broodstock tank.

You can see how the mouth is closing up in this pic at the top right corner. I fed the tank heavy with cyclops so the mouth puffed up a bit. That was the only way that I could get pics. The clone as far as I can see, does not have a mouth yet although it appears that it split straight through the mouth area. Anywho, here ya go...

No prob. I will post more when they both heal more. It shouldn't take long at all at the rate they are closing up.

It looks like healing really fast. I usually don't feed for a little while until the mouth is finished forming.

I did not feed that nem. I have other BTA's in the tank that were due a feeding. It is healing rather quick though
