RBTA Splitting (Maybe)

When your RBTA looks like it is going to split, is it best just to leave it alone? Or would you keep feeding it, etc...???

I think it is more likely to split quicker if you feed it. Typically I never feed my RBTA. Mine has been in the process of splitting for over a week and I have just left it alone as usual.
