I don't know how, but my RBTA got down into my sump. It's now split into 3 peices. And each of the 3 peices are attached to the glass or a rock. It's not like it's floating. What should I do. Leave it there for awhile, take them out and toss them? They don't look dead, I just want to know what to look for if I decide to leave them alone for awhile. .

My BTA went through the overflow to the sump like yours. I left mine in and two pieces survived. Maybe all 3 of your will survive? I have heard other stories of BTA's surviving similiar experiences.

I've been reading too, searching reef central and such. It's actually FOUR beleive it or not. 2 of them look very good and will likely form new mouths. Another looks ok, and one not too good. But he hasn't lost his color yet.

If one starts to look real bad what should I do. Freeze it just to make sure?

freeze it?? what do you mean? if one starts to die, it'll most likely deteriorate from the bottom of the foot, up. you want to remove it before it breaks all apart and clouds the tank. give it a chance tho for sure

I see. If it looses it's color and looks really bad then take it out. I found a really small peice about the size of a quarter floating around. Should I just throw that? I have it in a cup of water to see if it attaches. But it's too small to fight the current.
